access 97 and office xp

i recently installed office xp with out access to my
computer hoping to upgrade word, excel, publisher. but
it made may access unusable. says i don't have a license
for it. when i reinstall access it gives me the same
problem. so now i have xp office without access and i
need a database. i own the disks for both office 97 and
xp office, what do i do? thanks
 
Click on SETUP & CONFIGURATION,3rd from the bottom...looks
like alot of people are having the same problem???

Hopefully you did not install into the same dir.

However, that "no license" is a very common problem, and there is a fix
(assuming you did not install both to the same directory..as then thousands
of pieces of each application will be intermixed...and a real mess.
