Hello.
When performing a Mail Merge from Access 2002 to Word
2002 with code from "Microsoft Knowledge Base Article -
209976" every once in awhile a "Data Link Properties"
dialog appears. After clicking OK or Cancel, an error is
generated stating "The database has been placed in a
state by user 'Admin' on machine 'MyMachine' that
prevents it from being opened or locked.", then I am
presented by three or four more boxes of the same message
with "OK/Help" as the option. When finished
clicking "OK", two empty instances of Access are running
in addition to the instance that started the mess (3
altogether). The aggravating part of this is:
1. The problem seems to be intermittent.
2. The same code worked with Access & Word 2000.
3. The only help I've found is "KB Article 295264 - Mail
Merge Wizard Fails with Stored Procedures and Functions"
and states "This article applies only to a Microsoft
Access project (.adp)." and I am using a (.MDB).
Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Tom
