I opened up the backup copy by mistake, and made some changes. When I
realized what I did, I made a copy of the backup. Can I synchronize the
original and "backup" copy, and also will I be able to manually accept/reject
changes?

(I won't do that again!)

Thanks very much for any help you can give me.

Kim2,

MAKE A BACK-UP FIRST! You can't synchronize in the way that you are
thinking. You can copy all the forms, reports, queries, etc... into your
*current* database. They will come in with a '1' after them and just remove
the '1' OR delete the objects in the *current* one and just bring in the
corrected ones... MAKE A BACK-UP FIRST! OR you can do it again.

To avoid doing that again you might try a naming system for your backups,
ie...

YourDatabase 1.29.10.10.mdb
YourDatabase 1.30.2010.mdb
YourDatabase (no date means that's the current one)

Unless the backup was so recent that it could be used as the primary, it
could be very difficult. Were these changes to the data, objects like forms
and queries, or both?

If just data, it will probably be easier to reenter the data. If forms and
other objects (excluding tables), you may be able to import those that you
changed. Both? You could try entering in the new data then importing, but
make sure to make good backups first.

That's what I said - more than once. ;-)
