Hi,
I'm working with a frontend- and a backend-database designed in ACCESS 2000.
There are linked tables in the frontend refering to tables in the backend.
First when i used ACCESS 2007 to call the frontend all was running well. I used the old data format (.mdb files ...)
But now i had to change some linked tables.
Now the problem is, that a new linked table no longer gets the permissions of the table like they are defined in the backend database.
For that only the user, who made the new link, can access the table.
Or I have to give explicitly the same permissions as the table has in the backend database.
Because I have to do it for some tables it's not a nice job.
I tried to create the new links with the Table Link Assistent as well as using VBA-Code.
When using ACCESS 2000 the backend table left his permissions to the linked table automatically.
would be fine if somebody can help
