Access 2007 MDI background Color

I have been using Stephen Lebans fine code
(http://www.lebans.com/changemdibackground.htm) to change the MDI background
color in one of my Access Apps. This code has worked flawlessly for years
in Access versions 2000 through 2003.

In Access 2007 however the code does nothing. No errors, no hint of a
problem, but no color change either. I did find a setting in the Access
Options that allows a color scheme change. This would be great if, you
liked any of the 3 schemes available (Blue, Silver, or Black), and if it
wasn't a global setting(effects Word, Excel, etc.).

Has anyone had to deal with this yet? Does anyone have a hint, as to why
this might be happening? I am strongly suspect of the new Office global
Color Scheme stuff, but have not been able to find any information on a
workaround.

In case anyone else on the planet is interested in this threadbare thread.

After much searching and no finding, I have hit upon yet another hack for
this app (it already has many) that gets me where I need to go.

At start up I put up a new empty form (no border, no caption, no control
box, etc.) with my desired back color. The form resizes itself automagically
to fill the entire Access MDI area. All of the apps other forms (which also
have no borders, no captions, no control boxes, etc) seamlessly float over
top of this bad boy.

As I said it's a hack, but it seems to work OK in Access 2000, 2003, and
2007.

Your not alone

I also have loved using Stephen Lebans code to change the background of the window and was very disappointed to find it did not work in 2007 or 2010. Hope someone can find a solution.

This thread is even more threadbare now, but it helped me. Thanks so much for posting this.
