I am encountering an error when executing saved XML imports into Access 2007.
I am able to perform an XML import via the interactive wizard (Get Exernal
Data - XML File) and "Save Import Steps" to a named saved import. This
executes perfectly. However any attempt to select and Run the Saved Imports
returns this error.
"The specification failed to execute. Try re-creating the specification."
In all tests there is no like-named table in existence at the time of the
attempted import.
The error only occurs when using the Saved Imports feature (interactive
imports work fine in all cases below).
The error occurs for a simple XML file (2 elements).
The error occurs for a simple XML file using a XSL Transform.
The error occurs for a structure-only import specification.
The error occurs for a Saved Import of a simple XML file that was exported
via Access 2007.
The error does not occur for a Saved Import run of a Text specification.
Basically, I am unable to run a Saved Import of XML data...
I'd appreciate any clues to unravel my mystery.
TIA
