We have an Access 2000 MDB with a SQL 7 back end. We are upgrading SQL
Server to SQL 2005, and are considering upgrading to Access 2003. Someone
mentioned that they had heard about some incompatibilities between Access
2003 and SQL Server 2005. Anyone hear of anything? And, if so, would staying
with Access 2000 be better?

Thanks!

Neil

I guess the said "incompatibilities" were referred to MS Access ADP. If you
use Access MDB to link to SQL Server2005, then there is not much difference
between Access2003 and Access2000/2002 (obviously, Access2003 is supposed to
be a bit better than 2000/2002).

Thanks for that. Do you know, specifically, in what ways A2003 is supposed
to be better than 2000/2002 when linking to SQL Server?

Thanks.

Sorry, I do not use Access that much after Access2K, so cann't tell the
differences (of advantages) of later version of Access.

I just meant what you meant when you wrote: "obviously, Access2003 is
supposed to be a bit better than 2000/2002"

Thanks!
