access 2003 select query closes access

I have a query that ran perfectly fine in access 97 and 2000. It's running
fine on my client's system now in 97 and it used to run fine on mine in
2000. I just upgraded (if you can call it that) to 2003 due to pressure
from above (no, not him). Anyway, this query is just a select query with 3
tables (inner joins) and a couple of criteria set. It also sums one of the
columns. Again, this was running fine before and I made 0 changes to it.
Can anyone explain what's going on here? I tried recreating it from scratch
and it still does the same thing.

Please compact and repair your database and then retry the select statement.

If this doesn't help, please raise with Microsoft Support and a Microsoft
Access support professional should be able to assist you.
