Hi All,
I have an Access 2003 mde file, which converted from Access 97. I can open
this file on user's machine if I log in with admin authorization. When I
log in with same user name but remove the admin.'s access right, the Access
keeps pop up the dialog box showing "Installing: Microsoft Offices Access
feature", but then it won't let me go through the application.
This seems like the security issue, but I wonder what MS Access 2003 tried
to install or access at the beginning of the application?. If I know where
and what MS Access 2003 tries to install or access, I can change the
security to allow the users access to it. Thank you for all response or
concern in advance!.

I don't understand. How would you expect to be able, to log-in under a user
name whose "access right" you have >removed<?

I meant log in again using the same user name but remove him from the
window's admin group.
Thanks for response!.

Ok. So the current Windows user (call him XYZ) is logging in as Access user
"Admin". If XYZ is a member of the Windows Administrator group (or whatever
it's called), he can open the database fine. But if XYZ is not a member of
the Windows Administrator group, he gets a message that Windows is trying to
install an MS Office feature.

Is that correct?

If so, I don't know what the reason would be. But the clarification above,
might help others to answer.

Sorry!
TC
