I have Offfice 2003 on my computer. For some reason everytime I open a file
in Access a LOGON box comes up. It ask's for a name and a password. I didn't
set that up. How do I get ride of it. I can't open any of my work on this
computer. I can ge to another computer and it will open it without a password
or name. Help.

Someone has altered the Workgroup your computer is "joined" to. Did you
recently attempt to secure an Access database? If so, the Security Wizard
could have doen this for you.

You need to rejoin the default workgroup (which is named system.mdw). First,
do a filesearch for "system.mdw" (without the quotes). After noting the
location, then open Access (don't open a database yet, just open Access
directly) then click Tools - Security - Workgroup Administrator. Next click
"Join", find the system.mdw file you located earlier, and rejoin that. You
should be okay then.

Thanks Scott:

That did the trick, I followed your instructions and it fixed the problem.

Thanks Again
Ross
