I'm thinking on upgrading my Office 2002 to Office 2003.

However, I do a lot of Access work at home for my employer, who is still
using Office 2000. In Access 2002, this isn't a problem as I can save the
database in Access 2000 format. However, I'm wondering if the same facility
exists in Office 2003?

Can any files created in it--Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint etc.--be read /
saved in earlier formats, so that I could still view them at work?

Does anyone foresee any problems with this?

Thanks & regards

Duncan

You shouldn't run into any problems that you don't currently run into using
Access 2002 to make Access 2000 files. There will be a few more new features
to not use because Access 2000 doesn't support them, so you'll need to
increase the size of the list over what it is in Access 2002. The Access
2000 file format is still the default format in Access 2003.

So far, I haven't had any problems with the other Office products being able
to be opened by the older versions except for Publisher. For Publisher, I
have to specifically save it as the older version. Again though, the new
features, if used, won't translate backwards.
