I have a form that contains a graph generated using the Graph feature. When
every I access the form Access 2003 reports that its installing the
Microsoft Graph feature and requests the original CD. Once the modules have
been installed it runs OK. I have checked the components installed when
Office 2003 was installed and the Microsoft Graph feature was set to run
from the HD.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi Ian,

I've only seen this problem once before and I was never able to duplicate
it myself. In the case I saw, the problem seemed to be related to a print
driver, although I can't tell you why a print driver would cause MS Graph
to re-install un-nessesarily.

The specific driver that caused the problem in the case I saw was the
PeerNet eTiff driver, although it was an older one than the version they
currently ship. Since we found an alternative soluiton to replace the need
for the eTIFF driver, the customer just removed it and the install problem
with MS Graph went away.

I would suggest that as a first step you take a look at your printer list
and see if there is any non-standard driver, such as one that generates
files rather than acutally printing. If you don't need that print driver,
you may want to try removing it to see if that has any effect. If you need
the print driver, check the manufacturers web site for updates; in fact,
you might want to ensure that all the print drivers on your computer are up
to date. (Usually updated print drivers are available on the driver
manufactures web site.)

If that doesn't resolve the problem, you should probably contact Microsoft
Support and have them help resolve the issue.

Ian,

I had the same problem and solved it by running Office setup from the
add/remove programs applet. Remove Microsoft Graph from office tools
and rerun your Access program. It should fail to compile since Graph
is now missing. Now, reinstall Microsoft Graph using the same
add/remove Office applet. This fixed it for me! (Note: Repair didn't
work.)
