I'm old to Access '97 but very new to 2002 & data access pages. I tried to
create a plain, vanilla form for adding, deleting, and what not records in
one table and no soap. It doesn't behave at all like '97. Duh!

Can anyone tell me if I can create forms and what not the " '97 way" with
Access 2000? My only concern right now is that my user might insist on the
" '97 way." I don't have '97 or 2000 & would rather get a suggestion or two
from you before I spend the money.
Thanks, Ephraim

I'm not understanding your problem. The regular forms are created the same
way; just the layout of the database window is different, of which you nor
your users have any control. Access 2000 won't change this. It will look
pretty much the same as 2002.

If your user's insist on the 97 way, then let them use the 97 version of
Access. I know that sounds snooty and it is, but sometimes what users want
and what users get is not their call. If you nor your user's have 97, then
they will get what you can provide. Access 97 isn't sold anymore and Access
2000 is fading fast; it may be 2002 or nothing.

As for Data Access Pages, Access 97 never had them so I know you aren't
talking about DAP's there. DAP's in Access 2000 are pretty much the same as
2002. 2002 just has some added features and better functionality.
