Menu item "Help", Option "About Microsoft Access" shows the information about
the version loaded on ones machine.

I have Microsoft Access 2002 (n.nn.nn) SP3.

Could someone tell me what the SP3 stands for, and why another PC does not
display this specification.

Regards.

SP denotes "service pack". One has SP3 applied, the other doesn't.

Many thanks. I had a suspicion that SP may have been Service Pack. Armed
with this knowledge I have now visited the Microsoft site and discovered
where to get the necessary download to get hold of this service pack. Shall
now be asking the user of the other PC to do this routine. Hopefully the
anomalies that I have experienced on the machine without SP3 will then
disappear.

Cheers.
