New Problem 1: Have database file "Expenses" and created a similar database
"Medical Expenses." Now receive error message: Table 'TempMsysAccessObjects'
already exists' How to fix?

Old Problem 2: Cannot download MS Office XP Professional Updates for two
years: 'missing file'. Have original Windows XP and Office XP OEM. PC
(Gateway) is stand-alone. Office XP updates worked for the first year, no
luck for past two years. Windows XP Update works perfectly. Office XP Update
does not work. How to fix?
 
New problem 1:
That depends - what are you trying to do when you get the error message?

I can't answer Problem 2, I don't know enough about MS Office versions.

1. Depends on how you created the new database. I'm betting on a corruption
problem.

I have a white paper in a Word document named Fix Corrupt Access Database

2. Microsoft Office does not come with Access. You need Office Professional.
If the OEM disk does not say Professional on it, then Access must have been
added seperately. It's also possible that the "Expenses" database is part of
a stand alone package and that you really don't have the full Access program
installed. It might even explain the problem in #1. Can you open an Access
database file and make changes to forms and reports? If so, discount what I
just said.

Also the fact that you can't do Office updates might be part of the problem
with #1. You might be running into a bug that the updates fixed.

Options:
Uninstall Office and Access and reinstall to see if it fixes things.

Make a good backup to tap, CD/DVD, or external hard drive. Wipe the
computer's hard drive and reinstall all the programs using the OEM disks.

Buy a new computer with Office Professional installed the move your MDB
files to it. Harsh but sometimes cheapest and fastest.
