Does anyone know why someone wiht access 2002 could not open my database created with 2003? Should there be an issue? Do they need the latest 2002 SP to open this or do I need to somehow save it as an ealier version?

Thanks

Ray

If you did not change anything after installing A2003 then they should be
able to open it in A2002.
Look at the file format (on the top of the database container - probably
reads A2000 so all three versions can use it.) You can change it to A2002
and both can read it or A2003 and then only the newest version can read it.
(Don't actually change it though.)

DId you use an features that are specific to A2003?
Once you do that then A2002 cannot use it.

Actually Joe there is no Access 2003 format it retains the Access 2002
format and calls it the Access 2002-2003 format.

The problem could be down to References, especially (in my limited
experience of 2003) the Office Web Components.

In one case we needed to change the order of the references and it suddenly
worked.
