What area of development should I be looking at in order
to develop my own Objects bar (Not the little icons at the
top of the screen)

For example: Access Database Window containing the list of
objects: Tables, Forms, Report, Pages, Macros, Modules.

Similarly with Outlook Express with object list - Inbox,
Outbox, Sent Items, Deleted, Items, Drafts.

Can this be acheived in Access? If not where?

I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the
right direction.

Many thanks

You can do this by creating MS Office COM Add-ins. You can use VB6, or
VB.NET/C#.NET to do that (MS Office Developer Version can also do that,
maybe?). Note it is only for MS Office 2K or later. Search MS KB for keyword
"COM Add-in" will lead you to a few articles and samples on this. I remember
an article is on the topic of what exactly you want.

Norman,

Thank you for the information you gave me, it's helped me
to know where I should be looking.

When you said that you saw a topic on exactly what I was
looking for would you know which article that was. It's
just that when you search on "COM Add-in", a large list
appears.

Many thanks
