There is a problem merging data from an Access query into
Word 2000 using mailmerge. A second instance of Access
opens and it sometimes takes as long as 2 minutes for the
document to open and allow the merge to result.
I have found a work-around that solves the problem.
Using the TransferText command in a Macro allows me to
transfer the data in a Access query to a Delimited file.
I set the Mailmerge source to this delimited file. The
Word file is opened also by the macro.
The time it takes to open the document and merge is cut
down to seconds.
I hope this information helps those of you who hae been
having the same problem.
