Access 2000 Text Box

I am creating reports using access 2000 and I have inserted text boxes into
the footer and now I can only view it in design view as it says it "too long
or contains invalid characters" I know the information I have can be put into
access as i have a hard copy of a report I have to use as a template.

Any ideas of how to get around this problem, like change something in
properities?

Okay I am confused... because that message usually appears when you try to
insert more then 255 characters in a text field. And since the report is
based on a table/query one must assume the data is already there? Or maybe
you are tyring to add the data to a field, on the fly, so you are exceeding
the character count? So perhaps more explanation needed to help us
understand...

Also, having a hard copy of the report does not translate to it can go on
the report. What is it you are trying to add?
