I want to create an app from an Access 2000 database for distribution.
In another thread, someone suggested I download Access 2007 runtime tools
which should work with my Access 2000.
I have done that but can't see how to start it.
Someone else in the other thread pointed to some FAQs which said it should
be under Program Files > Microsoft Office > Microsoft Office Access 2003
Developer Extensions >> Package Wizard (though that was for Access 2003). But
that path doesn't exist for me.
Can anyone tell me how to start the runtime tools?

For 2007 you need two options;

1. the access runtime engine (for packaging if you want to distribute)

you can find it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...d9-9dc6-4b38-9fa6-2c745a175aed&displaylang=en

2. the access developer extensions

you can find this here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...58-ECE4-4BEE-A844-F81856DCEB67&displaylang=en

Install option 2 first when done look under the big round Officebutton and
you will see the option there. Chosing that menuoption will present you with
the package and deploy option.

Thanks Maurice but when I try to install the developer extensions, I get a
message saying Access 2007 must be installed. The installation then aborts.
I have Access 2000.

Got them both installed now - I had to do the runtime engine first.
But I still can't see how to start it!
What big round Office button?

Anyone can install the 2007 runtime. To use the 2007 runtime packaging
tools requires that you already have Access 2007 installed. You cannot use
it with older versions of Access.
