User has a report which is a sign in sheet. Data populates one side of a
box and the person signs in on the other. When this report is printed from
Buildings A or B, the lines of the box print. When printed from Building C
the lines of the boxes do not print.

1) There is other text within a box in the header and those lines DO print,
which seemingly rules out a graphic problem.
2) When print data only is checked, that prints correctly with nothing else
from the form.
3) I modified the lines to make them wider and darker and still they do not
print from anywhere within Building C.
4) I am using an HP4 laserjet, user has an HP4050 printer.
5) We have compared settings within Tools | Options and are identical.
6) We have compared settings at File | Print within the print drivers and
are the same.

Does anyone have any idea why the lines in this report do not print?

I seen this happen often when people upgrade from windows to windows 2000 or
windows xp.

The trouble generally tends to be the printer driver is different. I would
try deleting the printer driver on those pc's, and re-adding the printer
driver.

In addition, I would get the latest printer drivers for windows XP (if that
is in fact what you are using).

Often, while the "older" drivers work with newer windows...there is a lot of
problems.

In addition, one other thing you can try is turning off the "fast laser"
printing option in the reports design page. This "fast" option simply means
that the printer will use characters to draw lines..and not actual graphics.
So, turning off this option to use characters can slow things down...but the
differs is rarely noticed (so, give this option a try if all else fails).

Thanks. I will pass this along to the tech in that area. I was becoming
convinced it was not an actual Access problem.
