Access 2000 Forms & Reports

Am setting up a database with names, details and
photograps to appear on each form or report - but cannot
find a way to use .JPG compressed files for the
photographs - works fine with .BMP.

With over 1000 individual photos, compressed would be an
obvious preference - can anyone help?

Actually, the best approach is not to store the photos in the database. Keep
them as separate files external to the db, and only store the path in your
