I am attempting to export the results from a query that
reads an Oracle table (via ODBC connection) to a .txt
file using Access 2000. The exported file should be
saved as fixed length, with 4 character years and leading
zeros in date fields. I frequestly did this task when I
was using Access 97, but since upgrading to Access 2000,
I am getting an "Invalid arguement" error. Any ideas?

Hi,

Have you seen this article: 263946 ACC2000: "Invalid Argument" Error When
You Export Data to a Text File http://support.microsoft.com/?id=263946

I hope this helps! If you have additional questions on this topic, please

Also check the Oracle driver.... may need updated driver. Very possible
that the version of the JET Database engine in Access has problems with the
version of the Oracle driver you have.

Access 97 = JET 3.5 (file: MsJet35.dll)

Access 2000/02 = JET 4.0 (file: MsJet40.dll)

Note also that each of the above database engines have different service
packs.

2000 & 2002 just came out with service pack 7.
