I got a DB for Access 2000 Runtime that used to run in Windows XP. I saved
DOC, TIF and PDF files in an OLE object (named OLE Attachment. Files are
stored in a Windows 2000 Server).
I decided to run the BD in Windows Vista. Everything was working correctly
until I found out that that I can't open TIF and some PDF files contained in
the OLE object.
How can I open the files running the DB in Windows Vista.

Thanks for your help.

Juan.

I don't know the exact answer, so this is a guess. Most likely opening
documents indide ole object is recognized as security danger; so, since the
main job of Vista is not working for the user but rather protecting him,
it's not an option anymore. Maybe it's still possible by some nontrivial
research and then nontrivial configuration of Vista involving some
certificates, approvals, etc.; or maybe not.

The most effective solution is, obviously, getting rid of Vista and
replacing it with an operating system designed not to protect but to work,
like Windows XP.
