I copied a database from my XP pc at work (i don't work
ther anymore) over a cd. This pc was part of a network,
the data base local.
I copied the database over my home pc which is a W2000
server machine - part of a 3 pc network. When i open the
database i get the following message :
"The database 'mydata' is read-only.
You won't be able to save changes made to data or object
definitions in this database."
So, two different machines, two OS, two networks, french
version of MsAcces at work and english version at home.
It seems to be a matter of user id. The owner of the
database is 'admin', user name at home 'huser'.
