I've created a fairly simple database, to follow up our
training courses. It includes course data, participant's
data and feedback evaluations.
As there is no delicate data within, I did not set any
security levels, nor did I define user groups. Everything
works perfectly fine on my computer. The database is
stored on a shared folder on a network drive. The problem
is, that my co-workers can NOT properly view or update
data. Some reports work fine, where others don't, it
returns "error" in the calculation fields and blank data
in other fields. In some cases my co-worker updated data
using a form and the reports displayed everything. However
after closing the database, his freshly added data was
lost.
Does ANYONE have ANY idea? Please help!

do you have the db set up with a back end on the server and each user using
separate front ends with the tables linked to the back end on the server?

cos if you dont have you should

there is a wizard that can do this for you if you dont know how .
look for the 'Database splitter' in
tools-> add ins -> Database Splitter

Many thanks for the fast reply! I will try that. Things is
that I've made a similar db earilier, following the same
principles as I did now: All worked fine then...
Well, I'll give your sugestion a go and let you know how
it went.

Tried your suggestion, to no avail. But I figured oout
that it has to deal with the installation of Access. When
I log in to my co-worker's computer, I can't work properly
with the db either (though having all possible rights).
Got to re-install Access and try again.
Thanks anyway for the tip, it's a good practice to have
the back-end and front-end users in any case!
