I'm trying to write a piece of error handling code in
Access 97 under NT on an Win2k network that will identify
which machine name on the network currently has a database
open exclusively.
Access security is not implemented.
The Error code I am trying to trap is 3356. The default
message for this error does include both the machine name
and the user name (ADMIN as security is not implemented),
so I assume the machine name is buried somewhere in a list
of properties, but I cannot locate it. I would like to be
able to trap the machine name and use it in my own custom
MsgBox to help my users understand what steps they need to
take next.
Any clues?
