Acc97 detail section can shrink doesn#t work !!!!!!!! HELP ME !!!!!! SOS !!!

My Prob:
I'm having a standart access97 report . In the detail section i have a
Image object that changes its size on the on formatevent, because the
images have different sizes. Every time the image is bigger than ist
forerunner it is no problem. Access Grows the detail section as it
should be. But in the moment the image is smaller than its forerunner
the height of the detail section stays where it used to be. this
mieans the shrink mechanism doesn't work. Why. is this a known bug ?
is there a solution ?
I tried everything. I tried to put it in a subreport , i tried to
change the height of the detailsection by code on the format event,
but access said you can#t do that, i even prayed to the lord for an
inspiration , although i am an atheist, but it all led me into
darkness. now i need a little light to help me out.

As you have discovered in A97, once you programmatically set the height
of a control the Section will never shrink below this value. A2K and
higher does allow you to programmatically set the Detail section's
Height in the Format event.

You may be able to use the workaround detailed here but in my opinion
it is not a 100% viable solution because it is a PITA!
