Hi,
I'm using Access 2007. When I import a Dbase III file (Ribbon/Open/dBase
III), the file imports with no errors, but float numeric dBase fields shows
up truncated, as integers.
I do the same operation with Excel does without any problems.
Just as a test, I used Control Panel/Region and Language/Formats/Additional
Settings and switch the symbols of "Decimal Symbol" (from "," to ".") and
"Digit Grouping Symbol" (from "." to ","), and I got Access 2007 start
opening the same .dBase file without truncating those numeric fields. I can't
do this for good
because all other apps. get confused
Am I missing something in my Access Options ?
Is there a registry key Access 2007 uses to get the "Decimal Symbol" it uses
to deal with dBase III files ?
Thank you in advance
Antonio
