Hello,

Is it possible to use an Access 2000 adp with MSDE2000 (or MSDE2000A) ?

Or do I need to update something like MDAC ?

Is there some restrictions or problems compered to use Access 2000 adp with
MSDE 1 ?

Thanks.

Access 2000 adp was intended to be used with MSDE 1 and SQL-Server 7 and,
when SQL-Server 2000 has been released to market, Microsoft issued a
Readiness Kit: http://www.microsoft.com/office/ork/2000/journ/accsql.htm

But, after all theses services pack for Office 2000, MDAC and SQL-Server
2000; it's hard to know how well theses things go along today. It's even
hard to tell if the application of the latest MDAC (2.8), things will go
better or worse.

Even with the readiness kit, numerous bugs have been reported for Access
2000 adp and SQL-Server 2000 and the release of Access 2002 has been a real
relief for many of us.

So, if time is precious to you, don't bother anymore with Access 2000 and go
for the 2002 version or even the 2003 version. (But personnally, I don't
have the 2003 version installed yet, all my clients being still with the
2002 version.)
