Absurdly slow XP pro clients accessing W2K server

When the XP clients try to browse a mapped drive on a
Windows 2000 server it takes ages to open any
folders. IT works fine with Windows98. I made sure each
XP box have an account on the W2K server. I tried re-
adding the XP box to the domain. I got the latest service
packs available on the XP clients and Server as well.
What can I do to fix this problem????

Check my post of earlier today. We have the same problem
with XP pro and NT4 domains. The problem lies with
turning off the XP pro service "WEB Client" Give it a
try... the results should be immediate. Good Luck!
