Hi all
I would like to know why Excel creates absolute references when we create a link to a cell in another worksheet using the mouse to select the cell (=[Workbook.xls]Sheet1!$A$1)??
When we link to a cell in the same workbook, Excel uses relative references (=Sheet1!A1)
Instead of using the mouse, if we use copy/paste special/paste link, Excel creates absolute references whatever where the source is (same or different workbook)
Is that making a difference? Can you explain please and let me know the best choice if I manually type the formulas?
Thank you so much![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/custom/smilies/smile.gif)
