absent address bar

please help : my IE page has no address bar. I contated my
ISP ,al[halink whose home page I use, and they could not
help. I tried other home pages and the same header without
an address bar appears . It has a "my search" window ,
and other links to some search engines. I am unable to
navigate with IE. Why is this so, regards Arthur

[To double-check your system]

Download "Hijack This!" [freeware] or download direct (below):

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.

Try this: View/Toolbars/make sure Address bar is checked.
