Hello,

I am in the process of ordering new hardware for my two computers.

I am upgrading my Pentium III 450 mhz with 2 GB's of SDRAM (yeah baby!) ;)
=D

Hopefully I don't fok it up ! ;) (I need a wrist wrap just in case maybe it
helps... I'll bet carefull... and I will make some pictures... like a blast
from the past... these systems not sold anymore ! ;) =D)

Anyway I need a new cpu heatsink for socket 939 motherboard which can cool
90 watts (or 90 TDP).

But 90 watts is just a minimum... I'd like to over engineer it a bit just
for the safety limits... It's probably the most important hardware upgrade
of this session because the AMD Stock CPU fan is failing... and it's giving
me nightmares ! ;) =D Ofcourse it could also be motherboard related but ok.

I'm also ordering a new p-r-i-n-t-er... and two extra harddisk for easy
replacing old ones... in case they fail... and printer cable.. and another
old ide harddisk for my old pentium III 450 mhz ?!? oh wait?!? maybe that's
not possible... I think I kicked the pentium 166 once... which lost a hd ?!?
hmm... noooo I think it was the PIII I shouldn't have kicked it lol... it's
saving my ass... i just wanted to see what would happen at the time...

I am gonna check if it can actually host two harddisks just to be sure. I
think it can fit not sure... gonna buy it anyway...

I think it's good idea to upgrade old system... since new systems suck ass
or die too easily because of electric situation in my appartment because of
receiver I guess.

The sdram has 7 ns or so... it will be interesting to see how the PIII 450
performs with more ram... currently it has only 256 mb which is wooehfully
short for xp 32 bit... and many browsers open which require about 800 MB to
function properly... at least that's why page file size ! so hd constantly
swapping which sucks... but sometimes cpu is slow too. I wonder if it's
maybe graphics card related as well... oh well gonna buy this old hardware
anyway because it's cheap and it might not be available anymore in the
future ;) :)

I'm gonna see if I can find a "wikipedia heatsink list with tdp's" that
would be great... I doubt it though.

See ya later, post any recommendations for heatsinks you have ! ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.

More newsgroups included... I wish I could dump this processor... it's way
to hot... but for now I will probably have to stick with it...

Hard to find a replacement...

I am getting second thoughts about ordering another socket 939 fokking
motherboard...

Perhaps I should dump some more and go with low tdp processors... that will
take care of this mess... hmmm....

Bye,
Skybuck.

How much air does AMD X2 3800+ stock cooler displace ?!?

This information is hard to find.

I am wrestling through GIGABYTES of DATA FROM CRAPPY WEBSITES WITH CRAPPY
ADS.

It sucks.

I am looking for like a few numbers at most like 1 KB of DATA.

Yet here I am wrestling GIGABYTES OF CRAP.

NEXT TIME I BUY A PROCESSOR I WANT A SPEC SHEET OF 1 GIGABYTE !

Bye,
Skybuck.

Ok,

The good folks that bought shit put up some nice reviews...

It's kinda strange how the webstore always has the best stuff in the back...

the crap is on the front lol.

This baby looks hot:

Zalman CNPS9900A LED

150 TDP

Now that's what I am talking about ! ;) =D

It's all copper too... nice looking.

This one cheaper nice too but probably older model and probably a bit
bigger... doesn't say tdp:

Zalman CNPS 9700 LED

Bye,
Skybuck.

Neh it's not worth for it for my nightmare pc...

I am sticking with the fokking stock cooler and hoping for the best

that it will spin up... nothing gonna reset nothing no more...

If it dies it dies...

but I did order the gt 520 so I can play a bit with cuda...

hoping that parallel ninsight will support it soon,
maybe it already does but it not on the support list.

webstore says it supports 3d but I don't believe that ;0

But will see.

I'm saving my money for a future PC... which will be COOL literally.

Maybe even an ARM processor yeah ! ;) Passively cool and all that.

Windows 8 stuff like that yeah ;)

My PC just needs to surive a little bit long.. hopefully for ever but I
doubt it ;) and I still need to fix electrical situation which might be
impossible... so until it's fixed or I moved... not gonna spent a fortune
again... to risky ;)

Bye,
Skybuck.

I cancelled all the order stuff... probably don't really need all that stuff
;)

Saving money for a new PC in the future... but I did order new motherboard
and new graphics card. lol.

Yeah, big benefit is:

I don't have to work on my PIII... so it's safer that way... I don't wanna
wreck another PC ! ;) =D

My PIII is HOLY ! =D

Even if it's a bit slow because of only 256 MB memory.

It will never have more than 256 MB memory to poor bastard ! ;) =D

Because I won't touch it on the inside ever again ! LOL ;) =D

Bye,
Skybuck =D

What is this? Verbal diarrhea? Have you always talked to yourself? Do you
really think anyone in the real world cares about your rantings?
