Whenever I opened Internet Explorer6.0 aboutblank comes up
as my browser and I can't get rid of it...I like Google
can anyone tell me how to rid my computer of this? My
virus protection doesn't do the trick.
 
Ask them in one of the IE groups.

or more helpfully:

You can try to re run the internet setup wizard
(called "inetwiz" located within Program files\Internet
Explorer\connection wizard once you have done this then
you should then be able to go into Internet options and
change the default homepage to whatever you want it to be,
typically though, when you have gone through the wizard
then it will set the default to something like msn.com or
an equivalent. Feel free to post again if you have any
further problems...
