On a Macintosh you can find out the Date Created, Date Modified, and the
Version of a program by clicking on its icon and selecting About in the File
menu. Information is also available while running a program by selecting
About on the Apple menu. Is there a standard way to get the above information
on a PC. I was finially able to find About in the Tools menu in IE but what
about other programs?

Most programs have an About under the Help Menu on the top Toolbar. Help is
usually the last item. File, Edit, View, Tools, Help. These vary with the
program or Folder of course. In IE, About Internet Explorer is under Help
not Tools. In My Documents, About Windows is listed under the Help Menu.

Right click any file or folder and select Properties for Location, Created,
Modified, Size, all kinds of info.

Windows uses Properties, right click on the file. In
Windows Explorer, you can right click on a blank area ands
add columns for more data.
