In Windows Explorer, can you have a preview of the disk size or a preview of
a file in the right pane like you could in Win2K?

Hi Anando,

I've tried the 'organize' and layout but have not been able to create a view
like Win2k.

I am using Vista Business*32. In Vista if you right click on the drive and
then on 'properties', under the 'general' tab you see a pie graph with space
available , etc. This view was available in the right pane from windows
explorer under Win2k. I was looking for a way to set up windows explorer in
Vista to produce that same behavior.
Also, in Win2k if you clicked on a file (let's say a .jpg) the right pane
of windows explorer would display the 'modified date', the 'file size',
'attributes' and in the case of a jpg file it would show you a thumbnail of
the file. This is also a feature I would like to be able to reproduce in
Vista. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Mark

You won't get that exact behavior. The preview pane (right-hand side), if
enabled, will show previews of .jpgs, etc. Size, Date, etc are displayed in
the Details pane (bottom). Drive space is displayed in bar graph rather
than pie chart in both the Details pane and as part of Tile info if 'Tiles'
is your selected view.
