Hello!

I'm reading in a book and it says ADO.NET 2.0.
Now to my question I just wonder if someone can tell me why they don't say
..NET FRAMEWORK 2.0
because you can't have different versions on ADO and .NET FRAMEWORK because
ADO is integrated into the .NET FRAMEWORK.

You may still talk about a Ford engine instead of just a Ford
even though Ford implies a Ford engine.

Some new stuff were added to ADO.NET in .NET 2.0 - I can
not see any problem calling it ADO.NET 2.0.

Google has 886000 hits on "ADO.NET 2.0", so it seems that
I am not alone.

Which sounds like a easier title to sell:

Professional ADO.NET 2.0

Professional ADO.NET with the .NET Framework 2.0

Imagine having to type the second version throughout your book.

"When using ADO.NET with the .NET Framework 2.0, ..."
