about the DELL CLEAN IK UTILITY?

hello

am not sure if i should do right after running the DELL CLEAN 1K UTILITY to clear my hard drive, but i was advised thru dell support that i need to partition my hard drive? what is that mean? i have windows XP right now, so do i need to run the O.S. resintallation CD after doing the clean1K to partition the hard drive? please help! thank U!

Are you in the process of relaoding windows like doing a
clean install or just doing a restore, also about partitioning
the drive means if you have a 20gig hd you can partition it
into 2 halfs, but is that somethign that you really need to do

I would ask Dell why they feel that you should have to partition your hard
drive. Sounds like a stall tactic to me. I know nothing about the Dell
Clean 1K Utility, what is it supposed to accomplish?

I don't know much about Dells either, but I think it basically performs the
same job as Disk Cleanup.

I haven't the foggiest - neither will anyone else. Why don't you try asking
Dell. Microsoft does not, cannot and will not support OEM-supplied software.
