When you use system restore, does it create a backup
config of the state of the computer before the restore was
executed?

I had to do a restore back in Feb 03. Afterwards, there
was a new directory created called user~1~CPQ.....

I recently disabled system restore thus deleting all saved
restore points. If I cleared the restore history do I
still need that directory where the restore info is
contained?

Seems like a no brainer, but.....I just don't know and
don't want create a mess!

Thanks!

Hi,

No idea what that directory is. The System Restore information is housed in
a hidden system folder called "System Volume Information", and yes it is
safe to delete the contents of this folder if System Restore is disabled.
