Hi , I've just found out an error in my laptop COMPAQ
EVENT ID 257 . what is it ? and how to resolve this error.

Here is the error message from the event id

( Timed out sending notification of target device change
to window of "ModemDeviceChange" )

A Google Search found that this a connectivity error.
Suggest you contact Compaq either by their 800 number or
by email tech support.
