client is outlook2000
server is exchange5.5

I already turn on this function and set some message for "Autoreply"
then I close the outlook and use other webmail send email to this address

but I dont receive any autoreply from this outlook account, why ?
Anything I miss ?

Thanks for help

After you turned this feature on at the Exchange server, did you restart
Exchange 5.5's internet mail connector service?

It must turn on from the exchange server ? where can I check on the exchange
server?

And how to restart the internet mail connector service ? Restart it from
"Service" or "Exchange Administrator" ?

Since I only turn on this function on the client side now.

Any complete step or link can provide ?

Thanks a lot.

1. Start Exchange Administrator (Admin.exe)
2. Click on Site/Connections/Internet Mail Connector(Service)
3. Bring up the properties on the IMC and look under Interoperability
4. Make the necessary change of what you want the site to allow
4. Restart the IMC Service (or reboot server) and off you go

The Out of Office Assistant by default won't reply to an outside (i.e.,
Internet) address.

I don't think the OP is an Exchange admin. He just enabled the OOA and
received one reply, then tried an Internet address and didn't get a reply,
the OOA standard behavior of not replying to external addresses.

The Out of Office Assistant by default won't reply to an outside (i.e.,
Internet) address.

Is it because they are 2 option in Exchange Internet Mail Service need to
un-check?
-Disable out of office responses to the internet
-Disable automatic replies to the internet

I already un-check this 2 option, but now the auto-reply message and rule
only work for those outlook client, if I send message from webmail account to
the exchange user, no auto-reply and such as forward email received, but if I
use outlook account send to exchange user, both will get

Why ? How to set that out of office assistant can work with internet email??
