Being "Recycle-Enabled", I would like to see if I can get this going.
The online light is blinking and nothing prints.

If it is simple, I wud like to attemt a fix.

Thanks.

You need to find out what the code is. If it is the code for 'full waste
ink tank' there are sites that give you the reset code. Usually Canon
printers can be reset at least once without cleaning out the waste ink
station. There is information for the reset code for some of the newer
Canon printers on Neil Slade's site at
http://www.neilslade.com/papers/inkjetstuff.html and if you don't find it
there you can click on the link on that site for the Nifty-Stuff forum, sign
in, and go through the posts for reset codes. If you don't find it you can
post a question there and someone may either know the answer or give you a
link to check out. First, however, you need to know what the blinking code
means. Try Canon support for that first. another site is
fixyourownprinter. You can also google for error codes for your particular
printer. A dead printhead is one of several possibilities.

If just Online is blinking it would generally indicate one of two things....
Bad printhead cartridge
Receiving Data on the parallel port

Isolate the printer by disconnecting the data cable, reset the power and if
the condition is the same you could try a new printhead.
To be honest with you though, for the cost of a BC-21 cartridge you can by a
new iP3000 printer and get much better quality, much faster and individual
ink tanks (cost effective).
