I formated my computer and was installing everything again and when i was
copying stuff from my backup wich i had on a dvd instead of copying the
pictures from my stored "my pictures" folder to my new "my pictures" folder i
erased the new folder and copied the old one, but the folder is different.
windows recognizes the folder has "my pictures" folder but it hasn't got that
picture and i can´t customize it (just like the normal "my pictures" folder).
my question is, is there any way of restoring the default "my picture"
folder (and "my music" folder, etc) without having to install windows all
over again?

First, try the following:

Open the new folder you created, go to Tools, select Folder Options, on the
general tab, select "Show common tasks in Folders," click apply and ok.

If that doesn't resolve it, try using System Restore to take you back to a
time prior to when this began, Start\All Programs\Accessories\System
Tools\System Restore. NOTE: you may need to again restore your image files
from the backup you had on DVD; this time, just copy the files to the
folder. If you've already deleted the files from the DVD, copy the current
files back to it before performing System Restore.

Thanks for the support. i tried doing that option you gave me in the folder
options but it hasn´t changed anything. anyway, i created a new folder called
my pictures 2 with the normal icon and customized it to view pictures and the
copied all the pictures from the "my pictures" folder i had copied earlier
and deleted that folder and renamed the my pictures 2 folder to my pictures.
windows accepted this but my question is if this folder has the same effect
than the default my pictures folder because is hasn´t got the archive option

I can't be certain of the reason but it's possible when copying the entire
folder to DVD it changed the attributes as such that when you copied the
folder back and replaced the default folder it caused the problem as you
suggest.
