about MSAS performance

Window XP/sp2, using the latest MSAS refresh version,
2.8ghz ht 512mb

more improvements on performance and stability. MSAS
slowed my computer. Updating definition freezes/lockup
for a while then it comes back to normal when updating is
finish. (computer is completely unusable when updating
definition as it freezes/lockup)

Same here and I think you will see it happen in beta 2. It takes 15 minutes
to start up on my system which is just as fast as yours.

also slow respond from microsoft antispyware. for example
when i added site on the IE trusted site Microsoft
Antispyware took about 5-6 second to show the Microsoft
Antispyware notification alert.

Its definitely a performance issue, as with all Microsoft beta products I
suspect it will be better optimized by beta 2.

they might also want to check if its effecting or slowing
down internet speed. specially if its a 56k dial-up as
most of the people and i have this connection.
