I checked in the bios part, (pushed del when start up)
Upon looking through there I noticed afew things that
made me think. I have a ATI 9200 128mb card in there it
has AGP Aperture Size on 64M. It ranges from 256M to 4M.
What is this and should I change it to 128?
Also it says Frame buffer size at 8M what is this?
Sound blaster at disabled. I don't even have a sound card
what is this as well?
Thanks

One of the features of AGP is it allows your video card to share some of
your system memory if needed. The AGP aperture size is the amount of system
memory that can be used by your card. The card will only share system memory
when it runs out of it's own much faster onboard memory, and with the amount
on today's video cards this probably does not happen often. Anyway in my
opinion it is best to leave it at your current setting, especially if
everything is already working fine. The frame buffer an area of memory on
the card that holds what is currently being displayed on your screen. As for
the Soundblaster setting I assume your motherboard has onboard legacy sound
support, or some models have that option. I'm not really sure about that one
since these settings usually vary from one motherboard to another. Maybe it
is used to reserve an IRQ for use with a legacy SoundBlaster card. Anyway I
would just leave it the way it is. If you want more details check the web
site for your motherboard manufacturer and see if they have a manual you can
download.

Thank you for the help. I will most likely leave it
alone. If it ain't broke, don't try and fix it.
Thnx again
