about license key

i got a computer off my son got the cd windows 2000 but
he does not have the license key number can i install
windows 2000 without this key.can u pls try and help me

Is the operating system functional/bootable right now? If so, go to
www.magicaljellybean.com and download Keyfinder.

I presume you are trying to reinstall Windows 2000 on the computer it came
with, right?
