HI, anyone know what the heck about:blank is? WHen I
click on the icon to start Explorer the first browser
window shows up with about:blank in the address window.
It is dog slow and when I change to MSN or Google it works
OK

Hi,
Go to tools/internet options. The Home Page part of the
options, change the Address: *to what ever you want.

about:blank is simply a set page if the user doesn't want
any page to start up when they open internet explorer.
It shouldn't make your computer preform slower, but
anything is possible.

yeah, your setting is for a blank webpage. Top of your

web browser, click tools, then internet options. opens a
page for you. on the general tab, you can change your
homepage. I suggest typing in http://google.com/ but you
choose your own fav homepage... enjoy...
