about.blank homepage change!!! need help!!!!

I have read through all the postings i could find and have not as of yet been able to get rid of the stupid things not matter what i have tried..all but short of reformatting. I cannot uninstall or remove internet explorer as when i try the iexplorer.exe file magically reappears again after i delete it. I have tried ad aware programs and they not detected or solved anything...nor has toolbarcop either. I have tried to remove the files from the registry and they have just reappeared right after. I have tried everything i can think of and would GREATLY appreciate any help on this matter. I have tried everything while in the administrator login. Antivirus programs detect nothing as well.

I have an exactly opposite problem: I LIKE "about Blank" and set it up that way; it has worked fine for 5 yrs; NOW... MSN hijacks the page and resets my homepage to MSN and or one of several MICROSOFT pages; Adwatch set to 'lock registry' will at least stop the MSN hijack, but why is Microsoft trying to hijack my homepage preferences? What can be done to stop this?

I can understand your dilemma, and the bet thing to do is get rid of the
about:blank virus that is causing MSN to hijack your actual about:blank home
page. If you read the information I posted for Mikey about how the
about:blank hijacker works, you would see that what is happening to you is
the same thing. He does not want the errant homepages he's getting either.
So..you also have a hijacker :-) Just follow the instructions that I posted
for Mikey and you will be able to turn the page on MSN and get your 'real'
about:blank home page back. <g>

You might also download and run this program to cover all bases of the
hijacker spectrum, just to make sure.
