About backup Active Directory(NDTS)

Hey: I have a problem about backup active directory.Please see below: When
you choose to back up the system state on a domain controller, the following
items are included: 1. active directory(NTDS) 2.The boot files 3.the COM+
class registration database 4.the registry 5.The system
volume(sysvol).[Refer to microsoft article]. But i can't find where is Active
directory(NTDS). Here have only 4 items in System state on my DC, but active
directory(Ntds). where can i find out NTDS..?? Thanks for helps..... (

Start a command shell.

From the root of each drive (C:, D: etc) run

dir /s ntds.dit

When you find it that is the folder it is on except you should not need to
know it because ntbackup at least knows how to find find the file from the
registry.
